PLANNING COMMITTEE
Mr. Sargent reported the Planning Committee met on May 2 to
discuss "Priority of Use" regulations in Section 26-10 of the
Zoning Code. The Committee recommends that Section 26-10 be
amended to continue allowing the next lower use in Cl, C2,
f~11 and P12 zones as conditional uses. The effect of this
ari~en~lment would be to make C2 uses in existinb buildings in Cl
zones conditional, rather than permitted uses, with the same
requirements for Ml uses in C2 zones and M2 uses in Ml zones.
It was felt that this change would give the city more flexibility
in administrating the ordinance, and would protect the integrity
of the zoning districts. City Attorney Baird will be requested
to prepare an ordinance incorporating these recommendations.
