A meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission
Chambers on Tuesday, May 7, 1974. The meeting

The Minutes of the meeting held on April 2nd were approved as written.
Regarding the Public Hearing scheduled to be held on the request by
Kamlu Retirement Centers, City Manager Hopkins advised that the appli-
cants had requested a postponement to June 4th, whereupon motion was
made by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Carden and carried, that the Public
Hearing be postponed to June 4, 1974 and the City Manager directed to
have the hearing readvertised for that date.
The City Manager brought the Commission up to date on a limited "slurry
seal" project to be conducted on certain asphalt paved streets as a
preventive maintenance measure, which project was approved by the Council
at their last meeting.
A discussion was held on "Bike Paths". Mr. Nick Jones volunteered to
map out, on a large city map, suggested bike paths following more or
less the scenic route through Clermont for presentation and discussion
at the next meeting.
Concerning House Bill 3418 regarding Financial Disclosure which pro-
visions will require all candidates, elected and appointed officials,
policy making advisory and commission board members to file financial
disclosures, motion was made by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Hovis, that
the City Manager prepare a letter to the legislators opposing the
portion of the bill requiring commission board members to file financial
disclosures. Upon roll call vote on passage of the motion the results
were: Ayes: Hovis, Ray, Carden, Czech, Seaver, Williams and Jones.
Total Ayes: 7. Nayes: Loomis. Total Nayes: 1. The motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P. M.
