During the renovation o the Historic Train Depot, the contractor uncovered termite damage. It became apparent tha the damage was not contained to the visible areas and we had to remove the existing d all, which was not part of the original contract, to repair all of the damage. Furthermore, he source of the termite damage appeared to be from previous non- compliant construction ethods. To prevent future damage, the construction of the slab had to be brought into comp lance. Marbek Construction p esented the City with a proposal to repair the work and bring the construction into compli nce. The proposal is attached. The City's architect, G torSktch, has reviewed the proposal and found the proposal to be reasonable and correct I recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 from Marbek Construction for $29,419.26 to repair termite damage o the Historic Train Depot.
