CITY OF CLERMONT
RESOLUTION
NO. 746
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE PERSONNEL POLICY OF
THE CITY OF CLERMONT AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont adopted the
current Personnel Policy of the City of Clermont by Resolution No.
705 dated February 26, 1991 and amended said policy by Resolution
No. 739 dated October 8, 1991; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Clermont that the City of Clermont Personnel Policy shall be
amended as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter V, section 1.020 (F):
Section F. shall be amended to read as follows:
F. To be eligible for holiday pay, an employee
must meet the following requirements:
1. Be a full-time employee.
2. Must work on the scheduled days prior to and after
the holiday. However, if the absence on the day
before or after the holiday was due to the reasons
listed below, the employee would receive holiday
pay:
a. The day of absence is during the employee's
annual vacation leave.
b. The employee is absent because of sickness or
accident and brings in a doctor's statement
indicating medical attention has been
received.
c. The employee is absent due to death of a
member of the immediate family.
d. The employee is absent due to a current on-
the-job injury.
e. An employee who reports in on the scheduled
work date prior to the holiday would be
considered to have worked that day, even
though he/she is unable, due to emergency or
illness, to complete the normal eight hour
work day. The same will apply to the first
scheduled work day after the holiday.
SECTION 2. Chapter V, section 1.020 (G):
Section G. is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 3. Effective Date.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
