Pension Board Meeting
September 15, 2011
The Board of Trustees of Clermont Police Officers Retirement Plan met on Thursday, September 15, 2011 in the
conference room at Clermont Police Department. Board members present: Scott Tufts, Michael Scheller and John
Baker. Chuck Broadway was absent. Also present were Joe VanZile and Legal Counsel Scott Christiansen.
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order at 1:15 p.m. by Chairman Michael Scheller.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion by Scott Tufts, Seconded by John Baker, to approve Minutes of June 16, 2011. Unanimously approved.
INVESTMENT REPORTS

OLD BUSINESS
A. On a motion by Scott Tufts and Seconded by John Baker, the City of Clermont Police Officers Retirement Plan
Operating Rules and Procedures were amended unanimously.
B. Those present discussed the Florida Municipal Pension Trust Fund Defined Benefit Plan and Trust, Adoption
Agreement. A motion by Scott Tufts and Seconded by Michael Scheller, to approve the Adoption Agreement.
Passed unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Scott Tufts made a motion to appoint John Baker as Secretary. Seconded by Michael Scheller. Unanimously
adopted.
B. Joe VanZile raised the subject of Board member retirement dates. Chairman Michael Scheller stated that two
Police and one City representatives were retiring before the next meeting on 12/15/2011. The City will send out
emails to all police officers to elect two new members to Board. The City has one candidate under review.
ATTORNEY REPORT
Legal Counsel advised Board on the Summary Plan Description, Retirement Plan and Trust for the Police Officers of the
City of Clermont. State monies were received by Clermont in the amount of $212,565.
BILLS AND EXPENSES FOR APPROVAL
A Motion by Scott tufts and seconded by John Baker to accept expenses of $8,873.20. Passed Unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
Next Meeting is scheduled for December 15, 2011, 4:00 pm.
Motion by Michael Scheller and Seconded by Scott Tufts to adjourn. Adopted Unanimously.
