AN ORDINANCE CANCELLING OF RECORD ALL DELINQUENT
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT LIENS (PAVING ASSESSMENTS) AND
ALL DELINQUENT REAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR 1930 AND PRIOR
YEARS ON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF CLERMONT; CAN-
CELLING ALL DELINQUENT SPECIAL ASSESSMENT LIENS (PAVING
ASSESSMENTS) ON ALL REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY INDIVIDUALS
OR CORPORATIONS I ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN DULY LEVIED AND
ASSESSED BY THE CITY OF CLERMONT I LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA I
AND WHIĆ APPEAR OF RECORD IN SAID CITY ON 1 JUNE 1952.
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, has
heretofore duly and régularly levied and assessed special assess-
ment liens against various parcels of property in said City, some
of which have been and are now owned by said City, and which are
delinquent and amount to $49,637.03 as appears from the aduit of
said City covering the period of 1 November 1950 to 31 October
1951, inclusive, on page 8 of Schedule 6 thereof, and should be
in
cancelled of record; and, further, in said audit/the aforesaid
schedule there appears, as well as being of record in said City's
books, delinquent special assessment liens against property owned
~ individuals, firms or corporations amounting to $22,196.81, and
it is now found said assessments are not collectible because of
errors, irregularities and inability to equitably pro-rate same
against the abutting real property by reason of the fact that said
lands are wastelands, etc., and said assessments should be can-
. celled of record; and,
V~EREAS, there appears of record in said City and in the
above dated audit under Schedule 5, pages 4 and 5, delinquent
taxes for the taxing years of 1930 and prior years against property
.owned by the City of Clermont amounting to $2,472.67 and against
property owned by others amounting to $804.81, all of which should
be cancelled for that the City owns part and the lands owned by
others are wastelands, etc.; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That all special assessment liens (paving assess-
ments) which are delinquent, owned by the City of Clermont and of

record as of 1 June 1952 and shown in the audit of the City of
Clermont for the period of 1 November 1950 to 31 October 1951,
i~ lusive, on page 8 of Schedule 6 amounting to $49,637.03, be
and the same are hereby cancelled; and, that all of said special
assessment liens that are delinquent and assessed against lands
of others and those unknown amounting to $22,196.81 and shown in
the aforesaid schedule be, and the same are hereby, cancelled,
and the City Clerk shall immediately cancel same of record.
Section 2: That all delinquent taxes due the City of
Clermont for the years of 1930 and prior thereto shown on pages
4 and ~ of Schedule 5 of the above-described audit, which are
against lands owned by said City and amounting to $2,472~67, and
owned by "others" amounting to $804.81, be and the same are hereby
cancelled and the City Clerk shall immediately cancel same of record.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and approval by the Mayor of the City of Clermont.
