R-2013-06 CITY OF CLERMONT RESOLUTION NO. 2013-06 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING CHANGES TO THE AMOUNT THE CITY CONTRIBUTES TO RETIREE HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE COVERAGE; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY'S CONTRIBUTION FOR CURRENT RETIREES AND DROP PARTICIPANTS WILL NOT CHANGE; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY'S CONTRIBUTION FOR CURRENT EMPLOYEES HIRED BEFORE OCTOBER 01, 2013 WILL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SCHEDULE REFERRED TO IN THE BODY OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY WILL NOT CONTRIBUTE TO RETIREE INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR EMPLOYEES HIRED AFTER FEBRUARY 26, 2013; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Clermont City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Clermont, the financial condition of the City's employee and retiree benefit programs, and the citizens of the City of Clermont, that changes be made to the contribution plan for retiree health and dental insurance coverage. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont, Florida, Lake County, Florida as follows: Section 1 The City Council of the City of Clermont does hereby adopt and implement the contribution plan attached hereto and incorporate herein as Exhibit"A"to this Resolution and does hereby direct that the City Manager or his designee take all actions to implement the contribution schedule as set forth therein. Section 2 Any resolution previously adopted by the City Council and in conflict herewith is hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict.
