Meeting was called to order at 7-20 p m Minutes from September 10,2002 meeting were reviewed Tony asked for
clanfication on how Clermont accumulates points"in consideration for grants as referenced in the September minutes
Amy explained that if the projects that were requested would have been a part of the City's comprehensive plan,they would
have added points to the consideration of funds allocation. Minutes were then accepted
Old Business
FRDAP Grant was applied for but we will not know the result until January or February
Amy has acquired additional information on the Senior Olympics Amy suggested that we discuss in more detail at our
next meeting. To be successful in hosting such an event,we will need an early commitment of assistance in organizing and
operating the events The purpose is to highlight Clermont and the amenities that the City can offer.
On the issue of adding a voluntary fee that can be selected on the City's monthly water use bill that would support Parks&
Recreation,Wayne would need to approve any changes As a side note,there is currently a plan to hire an employee to
oversee water restrictions
The City did not approve the proposed Park Ranger position. The Council felt that the Police Department could handle any
necessary incidences Frank Caputo suggested that a list of who is authorized to use the facilities be provided to the Police
Department. Amy said that this is already being done.
New Business
Amy will be attending the NRPA National Conference in September Conference fee was waved since Amy will be
volunteering at the conference.
The City was awarded$15,498 for the middle school assistance grant,which will go to the General Fund This is
reimbursement for residents living in the County that participate in local league events on City facilities Frank asked for
additional information on per capita spending so as to attempt to increase the amount in the future
