SCOPE OF SERVICES
CITY OF CLERMONT,FLORIDA
GREATER HILLS AND SUNBURST WATER TREATMENT PLANTS
DEMONSTRATION OF 4-LOG TREATMENT OF GROUNDWATER
A. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of Clermont (City) currently owns and operates two existing water treatment plants (WTPs) in
the east distribution system, Greater Hills and Sunburst with a combined permitted capacity of 11 0
million gallon per day(MGD) The facilities utilize free chlorine,sodium hypochlonte,for disinfection of
the water In order for the water treatment plants to be recognized as providing 4-log virus treatment, a
professional engineer must certify the treatment process using the Cover Sheets for Demonstration of 4-
log Virus Treatment of Groundwater provided by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection
(FDEP) The work associated with certifying compliance will include an analysis of the existing facilities
including calculations, an updated process flow diagrams and completion of the FDEP cover sheets
demonstrating 4-log virus inactivation through the treatment process
B. SCOPE OF SERVICES
Analysis of Treatment for 4-Log Removal
The purpose of this analysis is to provide calculations and a process flow diagrams necessary for
demonstrating 4-log virus inactivation through the treatment process for the Greater Hills and Sunburst
WTPs A draft memorandum including a summary of the analysis, calculations, and process flow
diagram will be submitted to the City for review In addition, the FDEP forms "Cover Sheets for
Demonstration of 4-Log Virus Treatment of Groundwater" will be completed and submitted to the City
with the memorandum Once the forms are executed by the City, Tetra Tech will submit them and the
memorandum including process flow diagrams to FDEP
C. COMPENSATION SUMMARY
The total lump sum fee for the Scope of Services described in Section II is $6,406 Exhibit II presents a
detailed breakdown of the estimated compensation for the Scope of Services
