09-19-2013 Police Pension Meeting Board of Trustees of the City of Clermont Police Officers Retirement Plan MINUTES Pension Board Meeting Thursday, September 19, 2013 The Board of Trustees of the City of Clermont Police Officers Retirement Plan met on Thursday, 9/19/2013 in the conference room at the Clermont Police Department. Board members present: James Wynns, Sgt. Mike Scheller, Lt Scott Tuffs and John Baker. Also present were Joe Van Zile, Administrative Services Director, Matt Dickey as representative from Florida League of Cities and Scott Christiansen, Counsel to the Board. CALL TO ORDER Meeting was called to order at 4:00 pm. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by J. Baker and seconded by J. Wynns to approve Minutes from previous meeting on June 20, 2013. OLD BUSINESS None. NEW BUSINESS J. Van Zile stated that the City Clerk had requested to attend all Police Pension Board Meetings for the purpose of taking minutes. Board discussion followed. Motion by J. Wynns and seconded by J. Baker to support such action. ATTORNEY REPORT Counsel stated that at the next meeting, a new chair and secretary position must be elected. He also gave a report on various legislative actions which have passed or are under consideration, as it pertains to pension trust funds. FLORIDA LEAGUE OF CITY'S REPORT M. Dickey spoke about the returns for the third quarter 2013. These returns should be at least 7.3%. BILLS AND EXPENSES FOR APPROVAL Motion by M. Schiller and seconded by J. Wynns to accept the 06/20/13-9/18/13 expense report and to pay bills in the amount of$6,145.87. Copy below. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. ADJOURNMENT Next meeting to be held December 12, 2013 at 4:00 pm in the Police Conference Room. Moved by M. Schiller and seconded by J. Baker to adjourn.
