ORDINANCE 3 1-M
AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 36-M BY DELETING SECTION 2 (A)
THEREOF AND ADDING SECTION 4 (2) GOVERNING HOOK UP OF SEPTIC TANKS.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA, HEREBY
ORDAINS THAT:
Section 1: Ordinance #36-M is hereby amended as follows:
(a) Section 2 (a) is hereby deleted and the following
is substitute2\~nerefore: The application for the
sewer pl umbtn£t s'~all be si gned by a 1 i censed
plumber or a resident homeowner doing his own
work and said licensed plumber or resident homeowner
shall be responsible for the proper installation
of the Building Sewer line, the proper connection
of the Buil di ng Sewer 1 i ne and the Ci ty 1 ater.al and
the proper connection of the Building Sewer line
and the existing building plumbing.
In the case where the resident homeowner will
do the work, the Ci ty installed 1 ateral must be
located by the City Building Inspector or his
representative prior to commencement of the work
and the City Building Inspector must be present
to witness the connection of the Building Sewer
line and the City installed lateral.
(b) Section 3 is hereby deleted and the following is
substituted therefore: Owner's Right to Conduct
Work - The Resident Home Owner may perform the
necessary work in the installation arid construct6on
of the BUilding Sewer line provided that all of
such work complies with the inspection requirements
set forth herein, The Southern Standard Plumbing
Code as adopted by the City and provided further
that such plumbing work is done by himself and
is used exclusively by him or his family.
(c) There is hereby added to said ordinance as Section
4 (2) the following: The septic tank must be
capped at the influent side at the same time the
house connection is made.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall be posted by law and it shall become
law and shall take effect immediately upon its being posted as provided
by 1 aw.

Re: Closing of Portion of Juniata Street, Clermont, Florida
Dear Mr. Hopkins:
As duly authorized representative and President of Konsler Steel Co.
I hereqy make the following guarantee to the City of Clermont:
If the City shall finalize the closing of that portion of Juniata
Street from the southwest corner of Block 112 westward to 12th
Street, then Konsler Steel will pay up to $6,000.00 for the grading,
paving and curbing of the connecting street between Juniata and
DeSoto Streets. Konsler Steel Co. will also secure and dedicate
the west 401 of Lots 21 and 22 of Block 112.
Provided, however, that Konsler Steel Co. reserves the right to
secure bids from any qualified contractor to build said street to
the City's specifications as outlined in the Council Meeting of
September 14, 1971.
