RESOLUTION id0. 270
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING
SUPPORT FOR THE MINNEOLA POST OFFICE.
WHEREAS, the Post Office of the town of Minneola has and is contin-
uing to render an invaluable service to the residents of the town of Minneola and
outlying areas, and
WHEREAS, the United States Postal Service has expressed an intention
to consider closing the Minneola Post Office, and
WHEREAS, the action of the United States Postal Service would place
an undue burden upon the residents of the town of Minneola.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Clermont that the City Council on its own behalf and on behalf of the City of
Clermont does hereby express support of the Minneola Post Office and its continued
service to the residents of the town of Minneola.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded
to the mayor of the town of Minneola and to the United States Postal Service.
