Memorandum of Understanding
Between the International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO Clermont Police Officers
Local 6013 and Sergeants Local 6014 and the City of Clermont
International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO Clermont Police Officers Local 6013
and Sergeants Local 6014 ("Union") and the City of Clermont, Florida ("City"), collectively
referred to as ("parties"), agree to amend the current collective bargaining agreement as follows:
WHEREAS, the parties recognize that modifications to Article 31 is warranted; and
WHEREAS, Article 31 Wages of the parties' current collective bargaining agreement
provides for bargaining unit members to receive hourly merit pay increases along with other
monetary provisions either already implemented or based on assignment;
NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows:
The Union, on a one-time, non-precedential basis, agrees to an 8.3% hourly increase for
Police Officers and a 14% hourly increase for Sergeants. This one-time increase shall be effective
April 27, 2020 and not prejudice the bargaining unit member's right to receive any annual increases
including merit increases for both classifications for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2019
through September 30, 2020. Wage increases allowed for herein shall be considered by the parties
in future collective bargaining negotiations. The hourly minimum and maximum pay rates for both
classifications will increase by the above percentages.
