Special meeting of Clermont Council
called to order by President Brantley
Moved that rules be suspended. Carried
Minutes of meeting of Jan 20th 1917
read and approved.
Moved by Mr. Wilson that posts at
street corners be staionary and sixteen inches
at base and eight inches at top and three
feet high. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Johnson that speed
limit posts be placed at three main entrances
to the Town. Top of posts to be fourteen feet
above road, notices to be suspended from top
of posts by wire across road, speed limit
to be fifteen miles per hour. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Wilson that Town build
galvanized iron building for fire engine
beside Mr. Goodenoughs building on corner of Montrose
and 7th Streets. Carried
Moved by Mr. Johnson tht Mr. Rosenbaugh
print two hundred blank warrants. Carried
Moved by Mr. Goodenough that President
Brantley appoint committee to have Mr.
Rosenbaugh print warrants, carried and
Mr. Goodenough appointed.
Moved that Clerk be authorized to
purchase fifty dog license tags. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Wilson that charter
read bonds be sold for not less than par
instad of not less than 5% of face
value. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Goodenough that Clerk
be instructed to send Mr. Futch notice to
pay rent for old school building for month of
January 1917 and pay all future rent in advance
or vacate presmises by February 1st 1917. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Wilson that Mr.
Johnson and Mr. Goodenough be appointed
to recure loan of two hundred dollars
for use of Town of Clermont, Florida. Carried.
