03-06-1917 Regular Meeting 24 Clermont, Florida March 6th 1917 Regular meeting of Clermont Council called to order by President Brantley. Roll call all members present. Minutes of meeting of February 6th read and approved. Report of Committees. Finance no report. Street Committee, Mr. Goodenough reports scraping road and that County will clay corners of 8th Street and Minnehaha Avenue and that stakes are set on Highland Avenue. Mr. Goodenough reports Mr. Johnson reports tht ordinance books will be ready next week. Moved by Mr. Johnson that ordiance regarding autos stopping on left side of the street be enforced. Carried. Mr. Johnson reports on electric light franchise. Mr. Goodenough moved that report be accepted Mr. Goodenough reports no progross on water works. Mr. Wilson moved that report be accepted. Carried. Mr. Goodenought reports that assessment roll will be ready as soon as possible. Clerk reports collecting license from tent show Florida Blossoms $5.00, fine A A Roe for shooting in incorporated limits $5.00, twenty three dog license tags shold $20.00 total, $30.00 paid to L S Atmeyer. Treasurers report accepted. Collector reports twenty nine license sold total. Collected seventy-nine dollars and 83 cents. Report accepted. Mr. Goodenough moved tht A A L-RR be requested to move danger sign post out of Street at foot of 8th Street crossing at once and also move section houses within ninety days or write proper practice. Mr. Johnson moved that J S Townsend be appointed Deputy Marshall to have police in colored quarters only and attend to sanitary conditions in same. Carried. President Brantley appointed C H Goodenough and H L Johnson committee to see Marshall Hull in regard to resigning office of Marshall so that another Marshall can be appointed with more time to attend to Marshallship.
