Regular meeting of Clermont Council
called to order by President Brantley.
Roll call all members present.
Reading of minutes of special meeting
of March 14 approved.
Report of Finance Committee:
Moved by Mr. Johnson tht finance
committee report at next regular meeting. Carried
Report of Street Committee: Mr. Goodenough
reports that survey is not satisfactory and
work stopped. Property owners have graded
and clayed Minneola Avenue from 7th to 8th
street and from Lake Avenue to 5th. Also that danger
sign posts will be moved at once.
No progress on opening 8th Street.
Petition from property owners on 7th Street
between Montrose and Minneola Avenue to have
said street graded by town so that property
owners may clay said street without expense to
the town.
Moved by Mr. Goodenough that petition
be placed in hands of street committee. carried.
Moved by Mr. Wilson that street
leading to depot be repaved. Carried.
Report of committee on Charity and Schools -
no report.
Report of Committee on Rules and
Ordinances. Mr. Johnson reports Mr.
Rosabaugh expected to be present and
report on printing ordinance books.
Report of Officers:
Mayor Roe reports appointment of
J A Barr as Deputy Marshall.
Moved by Mr. Hooks that J A Barr
appointment be confirmed. Carried.
Report of Treasurer:
Treasurer report - on hand one hundred
and thirty eight dollars and 80 cents.
Report of Collector - Collector reports collecting eleven
license during past month total thirty one dollars and 97 cents
Report of Treasurer and Collector accepted.
Report of Clerk:
The dog license tags sold total collected $2.01.
Report accepted.
Moved by Mr. Johnson that Mr. Bowmans
report be accepted and confirmed as written
in minutes of special meeting of March 14th 1917. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Wilson tht survey be
started at stone at intersection of DeSoto
and 10th Streets to establishe Mr. Pemberton's lines.
Carried.
Moved tht Marshall have collars and tags put on all dogs. Carried.
Reports of Marshall:
One hog impounded, fee paid by owner
for release.
Moved by Mr. Hooks that all
Town officials give bond and town to
pay premium on bonds. Carried
Moved to adjourn. Carried.
