Adjourned meeting of Clermont Council called to order by
President Brantley
.
Roll call all present except Mr Morrison. Minutes of previous
meeting read and approved.
Report of Finance Committee.
Bills of W Kern, L H Goodenough and L Toppinos presented
and ordered paid.
Street Committee. Reports all sidewalk ordered completed.
Sanitation. Mayor Roe reports on sanitary closets.
Charity and Schools no report.
Treasurer reports on hand last month $297.16. Receipts for
month $122.00. Paid out $173.00. On hand $246.16.
Report Accepted.
Clerk reports fines $15.00 and one dog license paid to
Treasurer.
Moved that Ordinance relating to compelling all citizens to
labor on streets two days or pay two dollars be passed to
second reading. Carried.
Marshall reports pound fees $3.25 collected and costs for
arrests (sp?) $5.80. Marshalled salary ordered paid..
Moved that Ordinance be passed as read, and Ordinance
Committee to confer with Atty (*****) as to legality of inserting
age limit at eighteen years and if found not legal to insert
age at twenty-one years. Carried.
Moved that Ordinance Committee prepare blanket ordinance
to cover sanitary conditions prevailing in town. Carried.
Moved that matter of (*********) garage be laid on the table.
Carried.
Moved that cement crossing be laid on 7th St on north side
of Minneola Ave. Carried.
Moved that ordinance be prepared to have sidewalk laid on
north side of Minneola Ave from Mrs. Morris walk to 8th street
. Carried.
Moved that Town Council take charge of fire engine and
appoint Fire Chief to have power to organize fire Co. Mr
Goodrich appointed Chief. Carried.
Moved that Mr Rovabaugh be paid two dollars per month to
print minutes of Council meetings and resolutions and Mayor
Proclamations. Mr Rovabaugh to call for and return minutes.
Carried.
Moved that Mr Brantley and Mr Goodenough be appointed
committee to have Mr Gibson survey the plot of ground
presented to the town by Mr Roe.
Moved that petition for claying 3rd St be laid on the table.
Carried.
Moved to adjourn. Carried.
