Regular Meeting of Clermont Council called to order by Mr
Wilson.
Mr Goodenough elected Pres pro Tem
Roll Call. Mr Goodenough, Wilson, Johnson and Morrison
answered the call.
Minutes of meeting of July 2nd read and approved.
Report of Committees. Finance, no report.
Street Committee. Mr Goodenough presents bill from W J
Gaines for work on Osceola and 7th sts.
Marshall Free reports that unsanitary closets have been
looked after.
Bills of W Kern, Marshall Free and Mr Goodenough ordered
paid.
Moved that bill of W J Gaines be paid except 15% of clay
hauled on Osceola and 7th St amounting to $276.50, said
15% to be retained until contract be completed. Carried.
Moved that petition of Clermont Motor Club to erect danger
signs at various places be granted said signs to be placed
fifteen feet from center of road in accordance with Lake Co
regulations. Carried.
Report of Treasurer. $666.17. Paid out $98.17. Rec’d
$91.40. On hand $659.40. Report accepted.
Report of Collector. Collections $1.85. Report accepted.
Moved that Clerk order copy of Fla State Laws for 1917 from
State Comptroller. Carried.
Moved that Clerk get prices on blank warrants, licenses, dog
tags, and letterheads and envelopes. Carried.
Moved that Clerk be instructed to write Mr C L Duman, Dist
Supt., A C L R R in regard to paying their portion for hauling
clay on Osceola St. Carried.
Moved that Mr Morrison be instructed to get out and present
bills to property owners on Osceola and 7th Sts for clay
hauled on said streets. Carried.
Moved to adjourn. Carried.
