Regular meeting of Clermont Council called to order by Pres
Brantley.
Roll call Messers Morrison, Brantley, Johnson, and Wilson
present.
Minutes of meeting of Oct 1st read and approved.
Report of Committees. Finance, Street and Schools. No
report.
Collector reports licenses collected $31.50. Taxes $14.70
from property owners on streets clayed $156.07
Moved that Collector mail all persons subject to license blank
applications and Town to pay postage on same. Carried.
Marshall reports collecting #61.13 from property owners on
streets clayed and paid to Collector. Also reports on mowing
streets and vacant lots. Report accepted.
Moved that cost of work done by Marshall for mowing streets
and vacant lots be charged against said lots or abutting
property as taxes. Carried.
Reports of Treas. On hand $268.92. Rec’d $175.63. Paid
out $337.50. On hand $107.05. Report accepted.
Assessor reports value of Real Estate $147,180.00. R R and
Telegraph $15,365.00. Personal $43,030.00. Report
accepted.
Moved that all bills presented at this meeting be paid.
Carried.
Moved that Marshall mail notices to all parties delinquent on
paying for Clay on Osceola St. and if not paid at once to take
action by process of law. Carried.
Councilmen drew lots to determine who should serve the
three year terms, Mr Brantley, Mr Morrison, and Mr Johnson
declared elected for three year terms.
Moved that Mayor Roe be appointed committee to secure
cupboard to keep Town booklets in. Carried.
Moved to adjourn. Carried.
