03-04-1919 Regular Meeting
Clermont, Fla Mar 4 – 1919
Regular meeting of Clermont Council called to order by
President Brantley. All members present.
Report of Committees.
Finance. Mr Johnson reports on auditing books. Report not
completed, will make final report at April meeting.
Street Comm reports on route to Lake Highland Club House.
To the Honorable Board of Town Council.
We the Street Com appointed to (****) the several routes to
Lake Highlands Club House we find the following.
To go 5th St either Highland Ave or Chestnut St the distance
would be practically 3520 ft to go down 7th to Chestnut, the
distance to clay would be 2280 ft therefor it is easy enough to
see the difference in cost of claying. If we get a 15 foot road
for one dollar per yard and the grading would have to be
added to the Town cost which would be practically three times
as much on Highland Ave as it would be on Chestnut St and
the upkeep on Highland Ave would be a third more than it
would be on Chestnut St. We the committee submit the
above.
