10-07-1919 Regular MeetingClermont, Fla Oct 7, 1919 Regular meeting of Clermont Council called to order by Pres Brantley. Roll call all present. Minutes of meeting of September 2nd read and approved. Report of Committees. Street Com reports on repairing 7th St near corner near R R. Also reports on work on Osceola St. Special Com reports on light. Com continued. Collector reports collecting $17.00 for licenses. Report accepted. Marshal’s report read and accepted. Assessor reports on Assessment roll. Value of Real Estate $164,777.00. Personal $40,595.00. Report Accepted. Clerk reports fines collected and reads letters from Mr Jansser on St lighting. Report accepted. Moved that light be put at jail and replace all 50 watt street lights with 75 watt lamps. Carried. Moved that Marshall’s salary be raised to twenty five dollars per month. Carried. Moved that ordinance granting the Mayor and Clerk power to convey by deed to Payton T Carr and the St Louis Union Trust Co Trustees lots 13 to 20 in Blk 49 in exchange for lots 13 to 20 in Blk 50. Carried. Moved all bills be paid presented at this meeting except bill of Gaines Auto Truck Co. 15 per cent of said bill be deducted and paid when road is completed. Carried. Moved that Town Treas cash the $1,000.00 time certificate held by First State Bank and have one taken for $500.00. Carried. Moved that Street Committee be authorized to have two wooden road scrapers made. Carried. Moved to adjourn. Carried. S S Fisler, Clerk Ordinance No 31 An Ordinance authorizing the Town of Clermont, Lake Co, Fla to deed an convey lots 13 to 20 in block 49 of the Town of Clermont, Fla to trustees under the will of Lamina W Kehlor in exchange for lots 13 to 20 in block 50 of said town. Whereas, Lamiona W Kehlor by her last will and testament devised lots 13 to 20 in block 49 to the town as a park and Whereas, it appears that it was the intention of said Lamina W Kehlor to convey lots 13 to 20 in block 50 instead of lots described in said will, and Whereas the said Lamira W Kehlor is now dead and Peyton T Carr and the St Louis Union Trust Co, a corporation, are the trustees under said will. Now therefor, be it ordained by the Town Council of the Town of Clermont, Lake Co, Florida that the Mayor, and the Town Clerk, are hereby authorized to convey by sufficient deed exchange by said Mayor and Town Clerk lots 13 – 14 – 15 – 16 – 17 – 18 – 19 and 20, block 49 Clermont, Fla to said Payton Carr and the St Louis Union Trust Co. as trustees under the will of Lamira W Kehlor in exchange for lots 13 – 14 – 15 – 16 – 17 – 18 – 19 and 20 of block 50 of the Town of Clermont, Fla.
