Clermont, Fla January 6, 1920
Regular meeting of Clermont Council called to order by
Councilman Goodenough.
Roll Call. Present Goodenough, Wilson, and Johnson
Mayor Kern administered oath of office to Mayor elect Roe,
Councilman Sharp, Johnson and Munson. Clerk Fisler,
Collector Bailey and Marshal Lee.
Moved that Mr Goodenough be elected President of the
Council for ensuing year. Carried.
Minutes of meeting of December 2nd read and approved.
Minutes of meeting of December 5th read and approved.
Sanitation Com reports on case of small pox.
Street Com reports on scraping roads.
Collector reports taxes collected $112.99. Licenses $5.00.
For Claying streets $8.34. Total $126.33. Report accepted.

Fire Warden Altmyer tendered his resignation and same
accepted.
Treas reports balance on hand $690.57. Paid out $209.55.
Received $22.00. Balance on hand $503.02. Report
accepted.
Clerk reports on licenses also reads letter from St Louis
Union Trust Co.
Moved by Mr Munson that the Town Clerk write to the St
Louis Union Trust Co in reply to letter last received referring
to letter of reply formally sent and also forward said last letter
to our attourney for action. Carried.
Moved that 75 watt light be placed at front designated by J S
Townsend. Carried.
Moved by Mr Goodenough that the town Council authorize the
Mayor to call an election of the legal registered male voters
and who are free holders to vote on question as to whether
the majority of the property holders are willing to vote to bond
the Town to put in a good water system and a Town Hall of
not. Date of election be decided by the town Council.
Carried.
Moved that the Mayor issue call for election to decide whether
or not the Town be bonded for water system. Election to be
held on last Saturday of February 1920. Carried.
Committes appointed for Coming year.
Finance, Johnson and Goodenough.
Park and Improvements: Johnson, Wilson and Goodenough.
Charity and Schools: Sharp and Munson.
Streets and Sanitation: Sharp, Munson and Wilson.
Rules and Ordinances: Johnson and Sharp.
Note: Moved by Mr Sharp that the Mayor have guard placed at
the residence of D J Westbrook to keep family in and other
people out until the State Health Officer arrives. Also notify
Gene Becker to stay at home until State Heath officer arrives.
Carried.
Moved to adjourn. Carried.
