Regular meeting of Clermont Council called to order by Pres.
Goodenough.
Roll call all present.
Street Committee. Mr Sharp reports on progress of Claying
streets.
Minutes of meeting of February 3rd read and approved.
School Committee. Mr Goodenough on school being closed
on account of sickness.
Special Committee Johnson reports on proposed water
works.
Moved by Mr Morrison that an Engineer be secured to give
advice as to character of the water system our town needs
and an estimate of the cost of same. Carried.
Moved that President of the Council secure the Engineer
mentioned in Mr. Morrisons motion. Carried.
Collector reports taxes collected $157.30. Licenses $36.00.
Tax certificates redeemed $403. Total $197.93. Report
accepted.
Treasurer repots on hand $38.19. Received $87.80. Paid
out $34.44. Balance on hand $491.55. Including time (***)
$991.55. Report accepted.
Moved that following bills be paid except bill of Reliance
Garage. Marshal salary $25.00. Reliance Garage hauling
clay $58.02. Carried.
Moved that President appoint Committee to investigate the
purchase of the Electric Light Plant. Carried.
Finance Committee appointed to investigate.
Moved that the Reliance Garage pay for claying 5th Street be
increased to $1.15 per lineal yard instead of $1.05 per yard.
Carried.
Moved to adjourn. Carried.
