Regular meeting of Clermont Council called to order by Pres Goodenough.
Roll call, all present except Mr Wilson
Minutes of meeting of December 7th read and approved.
No report from Committees. Collector reports Licenses collected $48.00.
Taxes for 1920 $74.88. Total $122.48. Report accepted.
Report of Marshal accepted as read.
Report of Clerk accepted as read.
Mayor Roe administered oath of office to the officers elected at annual election.
Mr Johnson elected Pres of Council.
Following committees appointed, Finance Kindred and Munson, Street- Mc Niece
(?) Kindred, Munson Sharp and Johnson.
Charity and Schools – Munson and Kindred.
Rules of Ordinances – Sharp and Munson
Moved by Mr McNiece that a vote of thanks be given the returning officers.
Carried.
Moved by Kindred that a note of thanks be extended to Mr Goodenough for
the use of his building for Council room. Carried.
Moved by Mr McNiece that Dr Dodge be appointed Town Physician and Mr
Gibson be appointed City Engineer. Carried.
Moved that a committee be appointed to confer with Atty Hunter in regard to
amending the Town Charter. Carried.
Pres Johnson appointed Mr McNiece and Munson.
Moved that the Finance Committee audit the Treasurers Books. Carried.
Moved that C W Roe (*****) bonds for Treasurer, Collector, Assessor, Clerk and
Marshal.
Moved that a committee be to confer with Mr Arnott in regard to having dirt
removed in excavating at Methodist Church put into 8th St south Montrose St.
Moved to adjourn. Carried.
Bills ordered paid. Clermont Electric Co $129.00
