10-21-1980 Supporting DocumentsCITY OP CLENIONr MINUTES SPHCT.AL MEETT.NG October. 21, 1980 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held in the office of: the City Manager on Wednesday, October 21, 1980. The meeting was called order by Mayor Claude E. Smoak, Jr. at 9:15 A.M. with the following Council Members in attendance: Bob Pool and Dennis 'Thomas. Other City Officials present were: City Manager Forbes, City Attorney Baird and City Clerk Rozar. The purpose of the meeting was to adopt the resolution granting a Conditional Use Permit- to Lake Mobile Home Sales, Inc. and to declare the proclamation for the General Election to be held in December. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT: Lake Mobile Home Sales, Inc. 1740 S. highway 27 Resolution No. 359 City Manager Forbes related a request by Mr. Toppo to use wood chips in the parking area of the Mobile Home Sales Business 80-166 rather than asphalt. After some discussion, A MOTION WAS MADE BY COUNCILMAN THOMAS, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN POOL AND UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED THAT RESOLUTION NO. 359 BE ADOPTED WITH THE STIPULATION THAT THE ENTIRE PARKING AREA SHALL BE PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND COVERED WITH A MATERIAL IMPERVIOUS TO WATER. ELECTION PROCLAMATION Mayor Smoak stated the General Election of the City of Clermont will be held in the City Council Chambers on the First Tuesday of December, the same being December 2, 1980. The purpose of the election is to elect: City Council Member to Group I (Two Year Term) Mayor/Council Member to Group III (Two Year Term) City Council Member to Group V (Two Year Term) Whenever, in any General Election no candidate shall receive a majority of the votes cast for any elected office, then a Run -Off. Election will be held the third Tuesday in December, the same being December 16, 1980. Mayor Smoak declared the proclamation to be published four consecutive weeks in November.
