11-10-1994 Special Meeting CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 10, 1994 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held Thursday, November 10, 1994 in the City Hall Conference Room. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Mayor Pool with the following Council Members present: Council Member Cole and Council Member Ivey. Other City officials present were City Manager Saunders. Canvassing the Ballots City Manager Saunders stated the purpose of the Special Meeting was to Canvass the Ballots of the General Election that was held November 8, 1994 for Clermont City Council Seat//4. City Manager Saunders stated that a tally of the votes was received from lake County Elections Supervisor Emogene Stegall for Precincts 15 and 38 and the absentee ballot count, as follows: Wanda Andrews 978 John N. Sargent 984 94-196 A motion was made by Council Member Cole, seconded by Council Member Ivey_, and carried unanimously to accept the ballots and declare John N. Sargent the winner of Council Seat gA. The Gables House Move City Manager Saunders explained that the Gables house will be moved from its present location on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. The movers have requested permission to remove one tree along 5th Street. According to our Tree Inventory its condition rating is a .4 and is not considered a very attractive tree. The movers have agreed to replace the tree with three 25' tall 8" caliper live oaks. No Council Member objected to this mitigation. Water Rates Council Member Ivey stated that several citizens have discussed the proposed annexation of Lennar Homes and other annexations and urged the City to require new annexations to perform in a way that is fair to the City and the developers. Specifically addressed was the request by Lennar Homes for equal water rates for any City resident.
