Whereas, there are currently over 800,000 Americans residing in assisted living and
are more than 420,000 caregivers taking care of their needs; and
Whereas, the effects of aging require help from a family member or caregiver and
assisted living caregivers provide the assistance they need in a safe
environment allowing them to remain as independent as possible for as
long as possible; and
Whereas, they provide a high quality of care for the elderly that will allow them to
age in place and do this in a respectful and dignified manner and they
dedicate their time, leaving their families to care for residents in hurricanes,
pandemics, or whatever is going on around them; and
Whereas, not only do they provide care but they ensure the residents have days filled
with joy, entertainment, socializations, spiritual needs, nutrition,
friendship, and compassion; and
Whereas, all citizens should understand the physical and emotional needs of our
seniors and appreciate the Assisted Living Health Care Associates for
caring for our seniors and providing them with the best care while adding
life to their final years;
Wow, Therefore, I, Gail L. Ash, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of
Florida, do hereby proclaim the Week of September 13-19, Two Thousand and Twenty as:
