SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
MAY 31, 1994
A special meeting of the City Council of the city of Clermont was held Tuesday, May
31, 1994 in the City Hall meeting room. The meeting was called to order at 7:00
p.m. by Mayor Pool with the following Council Members present: Council Member
Cole, Council Member Turville, Council Member Ivey, and Council Member
Norquist. Other City officials present were City Manager Saunders and Planning
Director Harker. Also present was Hamilton Ward.
MAYOR POOL'S REPORT
Mayor Pool stated that he had invited Mr. Hamilton Ward to attend the meeting to
discuss his water problem at his home. After discussion of Mr. Ward's water service
hook-up, it was concluded that Mr. Ward would be connected directly to the line
along Minnehaha Avenue as soon as possible. Mr. Ward left the meeting at
approximately 7:20 p.m.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Lake County Interlocal Agreement - 21: Local OPtion Gas Tax
City Manager Saunders explained that the main purpose of the special meeting was to
discuss the proposed Interlocal Agreement for distribution 'of the last 2¢ of gas tax that
was reimposed by Lake County Commission. He stated that the City of Montverde at
their meeting held a few days earlier failed to enter into the agreement which put the
City of Clermont into the position of not needing to take any action due to the
requirement for 51% of the incorporated population agreeing to the interlocal
agreement. Therefore, without Montverde this percentage could not be met.

A motion was made by Council Member Norquist, seconded bY Council
Member Ivey_, and carried unanimously not to enter into the Interlocal
Agreement with Lake Count. for the 2C Local Option Gas Tar.
Georgette Miller Request for Waiver of Fees at Jenkins Auditorium
City Manager Saunders explained that the Council had tabled this item from the May
24, 1994 meeting. Georgette Miller has requested a waiver of fees for Jenkins

Auditorium for the week of June 13-17 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the Summer
Drama Day Camp. The Arts Council has agreed to include the Summer Drama Day
Camp as a part of their program, therefore, the rental fees can be waived for Jenkins
Auditorium.

A motion was made by Council Member Turville, seconded by Council
Member Ivey, and carried unanimously to waive the fees for Jenkins
Auditorium _for the Summer Drama Day_ Camp for June 13-17.
There being no further business or discussion, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.,
immediately followed by a Workshop meeting.
