05-10-1994 Regular Meeting CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MAY 10, 1994 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held Tuesday, May 10, 1994 in the Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Pool with the following Council Members present: Council Member Turville, Council Member Cole, Council Member Ivey, and Council Member Norquist. Other City officials present were City Manager Saunders, City Attorney Baird, and Deputy City Clerk Whitlock. INVOCATION The Invocation was offered by City Manager Saunders followed by the repeating of The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag by all present. MINUTES The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held April 26, 1994 were approved as presented. CITY MANAGER SAUNDERS' REPORT Council Workshops Council Members agreed to hold a Council Workshop on Thursday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall conference room to discuss the positioning of the Rails to Trails through the Carter property, and a Workshop on Tuesday May 17, at 7:00 p.m. also at the City Hall conference room to discuss a proposed annexation and water and sewer service with Mr. Mandell, and review of the Land Development Regulations. Jodway/Motel 8 Water Bill City Manager Saunders stated he would like to send a letter to Mr. Jodway stating the City has investigated the water meter dispute as much as possible. Council Member Turville suggested that the topic be placed on the agenda, which was agreed. CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MAY 10, 1994 PAGE 2 MAYOR POOL'S REPORT Taste of Clermont Mayor Pool thanked the Clermont Area Chamber of Commerce and the participating businesses for an outstanding effort this evening at Jenkins Auditorium in the first annual "Taste of Clermont". VISITORS WITH BUSINESS Edgewood Lake Subdivision City Manager Saunders stated that a final inspection has been completed for th Edgewood Lake Subdivision and City Engineer Springstead has issued a Certificate of Completion for the public improvements. He recommended the City accept the public improvements subject to a 12-month maintenance bond to the City. 94-065 A motion was made by Council Member Cole, seconded by Council Member Turville, and carried unanimously to accept the public improvements of the Edgewood Lake Subdivision subject to the Ci~_ receiving a 12-month maintenance bond. Marian LaPlace, Introduction of Ordinance 267-M Mayor Pool read Ordinance 267-M by title only and stated that the ordinance will annex approximately .22 acres into the City of Clermont which is located on the east side of Grand Highway south of Pitt Street. 94-066 ,d motion was made by Council Member Ivey, and seconded by Council Me.mber Norquist to introduce Ordinance 267-M. CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MAY 10, 1994 PAGE 3 Marian LaPlace, Introduction of Ordinance 268-M Mayor Pool read Ordinance 268-M by title only and stated that it will rezone the .22 acres to be annexed in Ordinance 268-M located on the east side of Grand Highway south of Pitt Street from R-R Rural Residential to R-1 Urban Residential. 94-067 A motion was made by Council Member Cole and seconded by Council Member Turville to introduce Ordinance 268-M There being no further business or discussion, the meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m. Attest: Robert A.
