06-21-1995 Workshop Meeting CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING JUNE 21, 1995 A Workshop Meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held Wednesday June 21, 1995 in the City Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pool at 6:10 p.m. with the following Council Members in attendance: Council Member Sargent, Council Member Norquist, Council Member Dupee, and Council Member Cole. Also present was City Manager Saunders and Jeff Biddle. Jeff Biddle Property on Montrose Street and West Avenue City Manager Saunders introduced Jeff Biddle who recently purchased property on the' southwest corner of Montrose Street and West Avenue. Mr. Biddle discussed his conceptual ideas for the property which included converting the main house to a bed and breakfast with the possibility of a small restaurant and antique shop in one of the out-buildings and personal residence. City Manager Saunders discussed the need for a rezone of the property and a Conditional Use Permit in order to accomplish Mr. Biddle's goals. City Council thanked Mr. Biddle for his information and. he indicated he would proceed with the necessary applications for the conversion of the property. Mr. Biddle left the meeting at approximately 6:45 p.m. Water Patrol City Manager Saunders discussed the request to establish a lake patrol to help control the boating activities along our shorelines that he had received from Don Tracy. He explained to the Council that he discussed this with the City Attorney who researched the matter and found that the City does not have any jurisdiction on the lakes. The Council discussed requesting the Sheriff's Department and the Fish and Game Commission for additional patrols. CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING JUNE 21, 1995 Page 2 Agriculture Museum Resolution City Manager Saunders discussed the Lake County Florida Agricultural Museum Committee's request to support locating the Florida Agriculture Museum in Lake County. He reviewed a proposed resolution and stated it would be on the next regular Council agenda. Sidewalk Additions City Manager Saunders discussed the proposed sidewalk additions to be done during this fiscal year. After discussion, it was the consensus that we would place a priority list on the next agenda for approval. Meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m. Robert A. Pool, Mayor Attest:
