05-21-1996 Special Meeting CITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MAY 21, 1996 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held Tuesday, May 21, 1996 in the City Hall conference room. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Pool with the following Council Members present: Council Member Cole, Council Member Sargent, and Council Member Dupee. Also present was City Manager Saunders, Fire Chief Carle Bishop, and Asst. Fire Chief Paul Anderson. Waterfront Park Restrooms and Pavilion City Manager Saunders discussed the proposed contract with Weber Construction for the construction of the new restrooms and pavilion at Jaycee Beach. 96-ll2spaAfier discussion, a motion was made by Council Member Sargent, seconded by Council Member Cole, and carried unanimously to table the contract approval with Weber Construction for the restroom and pavilion. Kings Ridge Waste Water Re-Use Pond City Manager Saunders explained a proposal by Lennar Homes regarding the required waste water re-use pond. The original agreement called for two ponds to be constructed on Lennar's property with the City paying for construction of the second pond which would be required to provide the additional volume needed that will be generated from the waste water plant once it has been expanded to produce re-use water. This additional volume is over and above the volume that will be actually produced by Lennar. They have agreed to provide a location of the pond on their site. The new proposal would combine the two ponds into one large pond which would decrease the cost to the City and the pond would be built now and be available for our use in the future. City Manager Saunders explained the estimated cost of the two pond scenarios. 96-112spb .,4 motion was made by Council Member Sargent, seconded by Council Member Dupee, and carried unanimously to accept the Lennar Homes proposal for one large pond at Kings Ridge to be used as a re-use pond at a later date.
