East Jacks Lake Road Name Change
Greg Homan was recognized who spoke to the Council Members regarding the name
change for East Jacks Lake Road, requesting that the road be changed to Citrus
Tower Boulevard. City Manager Saunders explained the Department of
Transportation's plan to require south-bound traffic to mm east of what is now Grand
Highway in order o access the Citrus Tower property. He explained that regardless
of the name change, that the road name should be consistent from the current
intersection of Grand Highway and East Avenue to the intersection of East Jacks
Lake Road and Highway 50. He explained that this will be on a future agenda.
Kings Ridge Fire Station
City Manager Saunders presented the conceptual plan for the fire station at Kings
Ridge subdivision. Fire Chief Bishop and Deputy Chief Anderson answered
questions regarding the proposed station. Chief Bishop explained that the same
conceptual plan should be used for the main station with the addition of a second
floor as shown on the plans that he presented to the Council. No Council Members
voiced any opposition to the single floor plan of the Kings Ridge subdivision.

South Lake Hospital Impact Fees
The proposed fire and police impact fees for the South Lake Hospital were discussed.
City Manager Saunders explained that since the City did not have an institutional
category, we compared data from other uses as well as other cities. There was no
opposition to the method of computation for these fees.
Center Lake
The Center lake overflow problem was discussed. It was the consensus that we
should retain a consultant to look at both Center Lake and Lake Winona with regard
to existing water quality and what could be done to help these lakes in the future.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
