MINUTES
COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING
JANUARY 14, 1999
A Workshop Meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont was held Monday,
January 14, 1999, at Jenkins Auditorium, at 7:15 p.m. Council Member Hope Lamb
welcomed those present and explained that the purpose of the meeting was a visioning
type session that was organized by Jaymark Developers to give the residents of
Clermont the opportunity to help plan the future of the Lost Lake Reserve area.
Ms.' Lamb then introduced Jane Zagame of Jaymark Developers who introduced the
J. aymark organization and employees that were present and further explained the
· purpose of the meeting.
Ms. Lamb then introduced Bob Whiden, a consultant working for Jaymark who
presented the status of project, a history of the zoning and changes that are proposed.
He explained how the meeting would work and divided those present into various
groups, with handouts to gather the individual groups' opinions regarding what should
occur in the Lost Lake area. The small groups then moved to separate tables and after
working as individual groups, the entire group wa~ then brought back together. Mr.
Whiden then asked a spokesperson for each group to present the ideas that had been
formulated by the individual groups. Mr. Whiden then explained that his firm will take
all of the information that had been gathered at the night's meeting and analyze the
input and present a report that will help shape the future of the development of this
area. Ms. Zagame thanked all of those present for their participation and help in
planning this area.
The meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
