AGREEMENT FOR STREET LIGHTING
AGREEMENT made , 2000 between SUMTER ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE,
INC. (hereinafter called "SECO") and CITY OF CLERMONT - FOR THE HANCOCK RECREATION
CENTER hereinafter called the "Consumer").
WITNESSETH:
SECO agrees to provide street lighting for the Consumer as provided in the attached Exhibit 'A' and the
Consumer agrees to purchase and receive -trom SECO the street lighting the consumer may need, upon the
following terms:
I. SERVICE CHARACTERISTICS
Standard High Pressare Sodium fixtures of appropriate size anå number, with individual photocell
control. ,The number of fixtures initially installed is 19.
2. PAYMENT
A. The Consumer shall pay SECO for service hereunder at the rates and upon the terms and
conditions set forth in Rate Schedule SL on file with the Public Service Commission of Florida
and the Rural Utility Service of Washington, DC, or such rates as may be hereafter adopted by
SECO from time to time.
B. Bills rendered hereunder are due and payable upon receipt subject to Terms of Payment
contained in SECO's Rate Schedule SL. All charges hereunder are subject to all applicable
Florida State, County, County Tax District or Municipal Taxes.
3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
A. SECO shall install, own operate and maintain the street lighting system.
B. Service shall be 1Ì'om dusk to dawn.
C. Maintenance of street lighting mcilities shall be during regularly scheduled working
hours of SECO.
4. CONTINUITY OF SERVICE
SECO shall use reasonable diligence to provide a constant and uninterrupted supply of electric power
and energy, but, if such supply shall mil or be interrupted, or become defective through an act of God,
or the public enemy, or by accident, strikes, labor troubles, or by action of the elements, or inability to
secure rights-of-way, or other permits needed, or for any other cause beyond the reasonable control of
SECO, SECO shall not be liable therefor.
5, MEMBERSHIP
The Consumer shall become a member of SECO, shall pay the membership fee and agrees to be
bound by provisions of the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of SECO and by such rules and
regulations as may from time to time be adopted by SECO.
6, TERMS
This Agreement shall become effective on the date service is first delivered hereunder by SECO to the
Consumer, and shall remain in effect for a five (5) year period and thereafter until terminated by
either party giving to the other 60 (sixty) days notice in writing.
7, SUCCESSION AND APPROVAL
This Agreement shall be binding upon and insure to the benefit of the successors, legal
representatives and assigns of the respective pn.-ties hereto.
8. DEPOSIT
SECO may require a deposit which will remain in effect for the term of the contract. This deposit, if
required, will be identified for each Exhibit "A", attached to the Agreement.

9, CONSUMER CAPITAL CREDITS
The Consumer shall share in any Capital Credits that may be declared by SECO, according to the
provisions of the Articles oflncorporation and By-Laws ofSECO.
10, TYPE OF INSTALLATION.
SECO-owned fixtures will normally be mounted on wood poles ofSECO's existing distribution
system and served &om overhead conductors.
SECO may ins+..all special lighting with underground service ()r as mutually agreed by both parties in
appearance, mow1ting, and method of service.
SECO will install the following:
1. Eight (8) - 30 ft concrete poles each with two (2) 100 watt HPS Cobra style luminaires
mounted on a 6 ft braclet.
2. Three (3) 30 ft. concrete poles each with one (I) 100 watt HPS Cobra style luminaire mounted
on a six foot (6 ft) bracket.
3. This project will be a pilot program to test the feasibility of providing timed lighting service to
the consumer. The adjustment of the rate for the timed lights will also be part ofthe
pilot program. The rate per month will be based upon the information gained by the
pilot program. This lighting system will require seasonal adjustments through out the year.

Installation CIAC cost of$3,586.00 in lieu ofmonthly pole rental charges applies to this agreement.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Agreement to be executed by their duly
