Proclamation #2021-018PPROCCAMA2low Whereas, Jessie Lee Walker Crowder was born on September 5, 1920 and will be honored by her relatives and friends in recognition of her 10111 birthday; and Whereas, she is the daughter of the late George and Fannie Lee McDuffie Walker who relocated their family to Clermont in 1942; and Whereas, Ms. Jessie Lee Walker Crowder had been a respectable citizen of this City for over 70 years, holding numerous positions such as a wonderful cook at several area restaurants, and also as the dietary preparation specialist at South Lake Hospital until her retirement in 1985; and Whereas, Ms. Jessie Lee Walker Crowder continued her service to the community in post -retirement as a daycare worker and nurture for new mothers until 2004; and Whereas, Ms. Jessie Lee Walker Crowder has raised children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to be productive and successful residents; and Whereas, Ms. Jessie Lee Walker Crowder departed Clermont in 2014 and relocated to Georgia with her daughter; and Whereas, we are pleased to join with the many relatives and good friends in extending our best wishes on this happy occasion; NO'w, where_ fore, I, Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida, do hereby deem it an honor and pleasure to extend this recognition to Jessie Lee Walker Crowder on occasion of her 101 st birthday, with sincere congratulations and best wishes for many more happy, productive years for the future.
