Proclamation #2022-007PWhereas, Law Enforcement Officers are dedicated men and women who have sworn
to serve and protect the citizens of Clermont; and,
Whereas, the fundamental duty of a Law Enforcement Officer is to respect the
Constitutional rights of liberty, equality, and justice for all people, to serve mankind, to
safeguard lives and property, to protect the innocent against deception, to defend the weak
against oppression or intimidation, and to shelter the peaceful from violence and disorder;
and,
Whereas, the Law Enforcement Officer plays an intricate role in the protection, safety
and well-being of the citizens of Clermont; and,
Whereas, the Law Enforcement Officer is a symbol of public faith and trust; and,
Whereas, the citizens of Clermont are hereby called upon to recognize the dedication
and contributions of the Clermont Police Department.
Now, Therefore, I, Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida,
do hereby proclaim the Month of May, Two Thousand and Twenty Two as:
Latin Enforcement Month
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
City of Clermont to be affixed this 1 Oth Day of May in the year Two Thousand and Twenty
Two.
