AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO
THE PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT,
SEVERABILITY, ADMINISTRATIVE CORRECTION OF SCRIVENERS
ERROR, RECORDING, PUBLICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida has received a
Petition for Annexation of a parcel of land contiguous to the present core limits under Section
171.044, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, unty, Florida, determined

SECTION 5: SEVERABILITY

extent that the entire Section or part of the Section may be separable i effect from the

Request for Annexation, Comprehensive Plan Amendment, and Rezoning
Location: Parcels located north of Johns Lake Road and west of Hancock Road
(Alternate Keys 1031346, 1678501, 1678528, 1098858,
1067952, 1491690, and 1029562)
Applicant: Major Stacy
Application Date: March 15, 2022
The applications were heard by the City Council to annex property into the City limits, change the future
land use to low density residential and the rezoning request for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) for a
subdivision whereupon, the City Council, based on the information and evidence presented at the August
23, 2022 public hearing, does hereby find that the proposed and requested rezoning application does not
meet the review criteria set forth in Section 122-315 of the Land Development Code of the City of
Clermont, therefore the annexation was denied. The denial of the annexation voided the comprehensive
plan amendment and rezoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida by
a 3-2 vote for denial does hereby deny the above -stated application for the rezoning request.

Florida, this 23rd day of August, 2022.
