Proclamation #2022-022PPROCLA.T4A770N
Whereas, in 2015, a resolution was introduced to the United States Congress to
designate the first week in November as National Veteran Small Business Week; and
Whereas, there are 185,756 veteran -owned businesses in Florida generating $57.7
billion in annual sales; and
Whereas, less than one half of one percent of the US population served our Country
in the Armed Forces, yet veteran -owned businesses represent nine percent of all US firms
(2017 SBA); and
Whereas, National Veteran Small Business Week is dedicated to supporting veteran
entrepreneurs and business owners and their families, and to encourage people to purchase
goods and services from these hard-working men and women.
WOW, Therefore, I, Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida,
do hereby proclaim the week of October 31 — November 4, Two Thousand and Twenty
Two as:

In Witness 'Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
