09-15-2020 Code Enforcement HearingCity of Clermont MINUTES CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARING September 15, 2020 The City of Clermont Code Enforcement Hearing for September 15, 2020, took place in the Clermont City Center beginning at 1:30 p.m. with Special Magistrate, Andrew Lanius, presiding over the hearing. Also attending were Matthew Reusch, Code Enforcement Supervisor, Glenn Mohney, Code Enforcement Officer, Dan Mantzaris, City Attorney, Curt Henschel, Development Services Director, and Nicholas Gonzalez, Planning Coordinator. Code Enforcement Officers Reusch and Mohney, along with any of the public who may testify, was sworn in. Case Number: C2020-000446 Respondent: Charity Bishop Code Enforcement Officer Reusch presented the case. The Respondent was present and sworn in. Charity Bishop stated that she has been in communication with the City and is aware of the violations. She stated they are going before City Council with a variance request. Charles Forth stated that he was on his way home and the contractors were blocking the road which is what drew his attention to the work being done. Disposition: In violation of Chapter 112, Section 112 Stop Work Order, with a fine of $250 per day for every day in violation past October 30, 2020. Case Number: C2020-000438 Respondent: Samuel A. Hughes Code Enforcement Officer Mohney presented the case. The Respondent was present and sworn in. Samuel Hughes stated that he agrees with the violations. He stated that it does require constant maintenance and it's in progress. Disposition: In violation of Chapter 122, Section 122-344 Property Maintenance and IPMC Section 302.4 Weeds, with a fine of $150 per day for every day in violation past October 23, 2020. Case Number: C2020-000532 Respondent: Tony V. & Tanika S. Nunn Code Enforcement Officer Mohney presented the case. The Respondent was present and sworn in. Jackie Parker stated that they have been maintaining a portion to keep the tall grass from their property. She stated that this has been going on for at least 3 years. She stated they have abandoned the property for 8 months. Bill Parker stated that the property is an eye sore. Disposition: In violation of Chapter 122, Section 122-344 Property Maintenance and IPMC Section 302.4 Weeds, with a fine of $150 per day for every day in violation past October 9, 2020. Case Number: C2020-000499 Respondent: Lilly Pad Lodge, LLC Code Enforcement Officer Reusch presented the case. The Respondent was not present. The property is in compliance. 1 City of Clermont MINUTES CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARING September 15, 2020 Disposition: In violation of Chapter 122, Section 122-344 Building Permit Required and IPMC Section 307.4 Accessory Structures with no fine at this time and if they repeat this violation the property owner is found in repeat violation. Case Number: C2020-000169 Respondent: Vincent M. & Allison A. Robinson Code Enforcement Officer Mohney presented the case. The Respondent was not present. The property is in compliance. Disposition: In violation of Chapter 122, Section 122-344 Property Maintenance and IPMC Section 302.4 Weeds, with no fine at this time and if they repeat this violation the property owner is found in repeat violation. Case Number: C2020-000511 Respondent: Lost Lake Reserve, LC Code Enforcement Officer Mohney presented the case. The Respondent was not present. The property is in compliance. Disposition: In violation of Chapter 122, Section 122-344 Property Maintenance and IPMC Section 301.3 Vacant Structures and Lands, 302.4 Weeds, with no fine at this time and if they repeat this violation the property owner is found in repeat violation. With no further scheduled hearings, the hearing adjourned at 2:57 pm.
