Minutes - 09-19-2022 - Code EnforcementCITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD September 19, 2022 Chairman James Johnson called the regular meeting of the Code Enforcement Board to order on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. Members attending were Chairman James Johnson along with Board members Matthew Norton, Beth Walters, Justin Allender, Paul Duhon, and Dieter Grube. Bill Rini was absent. Also attending were Evie Wallace, Code Enforcement Manager, Andrew Snodgrass, Jordon Rebando, and Joshua Cortez, Code Enforcement Officers, Curt Henschel, Development Services Director, Sam Reda, Code Enforcement Attorney, Patrick Brandt, City Attorney, and Rae Chidlow, Planning Coordinator. Board member Allender made a motion to approve the minutes for the July 18, 2022 Code Enforcement workshop; seconded by Board member Norton. The vote was unanimous to approve the minutes. Chairman Johnson read the Opening Remarks. Code Enforcement Manager Wallace and Code Enforcement Officers Snodgrass and Cortez, along with any of the public who may testify, were sworn in. Development Services Director Curt Henschel stated that the next scheduled meeting would be the week of Thanksgiving. He stated that unless there is a life safety issue there would not be a meeting in November. CASE NO. Board member Grube made a motion to find the Respondent in violation, with a fine of $150.00 or every day in violation after October 3, 2022 and to find Respondent in repeat violation if the same violation occurs within the next five years; seconded by Board member Norton. Meetings are held in the City Council chambers, Clermont City Hall, 685 W. Montrose Street. The meeting packet is delivered to each board member no later than Thursday the week prior to the meeting and posted on the City website. Any questions regarding the schedule, packet materials attendance or any other matters regarding the board or the City in general may be directed to Rae Chidlow, Planning Coordinator at 352-241-7335.
