2023-003P
Whereas, on February 25, the East Ridge High School Boys Soccer Team won the state
final against Newsome High School by a score of 3 — 0 to secure the Florida
High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 7A Boys Soccer State
Championship; and
Whereas, the East Ridge High School Boys Soccer Team played 23 games, won 19,
tied one and lost 3 during the season; and
Whereas, the East Ridge High School Boys Soccer Team scored 13 goals and
allowed one opponent goal in the tournament; and
Whereas, this win is the first state soccer championship in Lake County and Clermont
history; and
Whereas, the Clermont City Council acknowledges and congratulates the East Ridge
High School Boys Soccer Team on its outstanding dedication, endurance,
teamwork and sportsmanship.
WO'W,'herefore, I, Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida,
do hereby proclaim the 28th day of February, Two Thousand and Twenty Three as:
