CODE ENFORCEMENT HEARING
September 18, 2018
The City of Clermont Code Enforcement Hearing for September 18, 2018 took place in the
Council Chambers at City Hall beginning at 1:30 pm with Special Magistrate Robert Guthrie
presiding over the hearing. Also attending were Evie Wallace, Code Enforcement Supervisor,
Matt Reusch, and Katherine Neill, Code Enforcement Officer, and Dan Mantzaris, City
Attorney.
Code Enforcement Officer Wallace and Reusch, along with any of the public who may testify,
was sworn in.
City Attorney Dan Mantzaris stated that items 1 and 3 of the agenda have representatives present
so he requested to hear those cases first.
Case Number: C2017-000858 Respondent: CAH 2O14-1 Borrower LLC
City Attorney Dan Mantzaris stated that this is a request for reduction of fines. He stated that the
fines accrued to $21,500. He stated that the City is in agreement to reduce the fine to $2125 to be
paid on or before October 18, 2018.
The Respondent was present and sworn in.
Disposition: To reduce the fine to $2150 to be paid on or before October 18, 2018
Case Number: C2018-000304 Respondent: South Lake Connector LLC
Code Enforcement Officer Reusch presented the case.
The Respondent was present and sworn in.
Disposition: In violation of Chapter 122, Section 122-344 Building Permit Required, Chapter
14-9, IPMC Section 302.2 Grading and Drainage, Chapter 122, Section 122-344 (i) Property
Maintenance; get a grading permit within 30 days, complete the work in accordance to the
permit, and comply with the other violations, with a fine of $250 per day for every day in
violation past February 5, 2019 for the grading permit and a fine of $150 per day for every day in
violation past October 18, 2018 for property maintenance.
Case Number: C2018-000284 Respondent: Plaza 630, LLC
Code Enforcement Officer Reusch presented the case.
The Respondent was not present.
Disposition: In violation of Chapter 122, Section 122-344 Property Maintenance, Chapter 14-9
IPMC Sections 301.3 Vacant structures and lands, Section 302.4 Weeds; with a fine of $250 per
day for every day in violation past October 18, 2018.
Case Number: C2018-000291 Respondent: Fred Jackson
Code Enforcement Officer Reusch presented the case.
The Respondent was not present.
Disposition: In repeat violation of Chapter 122, Section 122-344 Building Permit Required; with
a fine of $500 per day for every day from June 28, 2018 and for every day in violation for an
amount of $41,000 to date.
With no further scheduled hearings, the hearing adjourned at 2:50 pm.
