Executive Order No. 2023-001E6 CLERONT CITY OF CLERMONT MAYOR'S EXECUTIVE ORDER 2023-01 AS AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NO.2023-019R DECLARING A STATE OF EMERGENCY RELATED TO TROPICAL STORM IDALIA WHEREAS, Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order 23-172 dated August 28, 2023, Declaring a State of Emergency for specified counties, including Lake County, related to the storm known as Idalia; and WHEREAS, on May 23, 2023, the City Council of the City of Clermont adopted Resolution No. 2023-019R authorizing the Mayor to declare a State of Emergency for the municipal boundaries of the City of Clermont any time that the Governor has declared State of emergency for Lake County; and WHEREAS, significant rainfall, wind and flooding due to the storm known as Idalia may cause substantial damage to and loss of property including infrastructure, homes, businesses and other real and personal property and has the potential to cause substantial harm or injury to the population. NOW THEREFORE, I, TIM MURRY, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA, by virtue of the authority granted by City Council Resolution No.2023-019R, issue the following Executive Order. SECTION 1. A Local State of Emergency is hereby declared for the municipal boundaries of the City of Clermont and for seven (7) days from the date hereof. The Local State of Emergency may be extended or terminated by action of the Mayor, or in his absence, the Mayor Pro Tem. SECTION 2. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately. SECTION 3.
