JLC Project #: 21101013
COR#: 31-R1 — Re -Work to Catch Basins at Pre -Wash
This COR is presented to cover the cost associated with having to re -work the pre -wash catch basin areas, based
upon the RFI response #130, received from the design team. As further explanation as to the basis of the change
and associated back up is listed below:
The below photo shows the current condition of the catch basin area at the pre -wash:
These two catch basins were formed, poured and constructed with the details outlined on C-608 and AA-702.
The depth of the catch basins were established and constructed using the rough scaled dimensions on the cross
section of C-608.
In the initial RFI question from JLC, the following questions were asked:
1. Please confirm the depth of the catch basin, as there is not dimensions listed on the contract documents
2. Please confirm the grate material

DRAFT LIQUID DISCHARGE CHANNEL
CATCH BASIN WITH RISER PIPE
If the City wants JLC to proceed with making the modifications shown on the above sketch from the EOR, there
will be additional costs associated to perform the following:
1. Rip out existing concrete around (2) catch basins
2. Re-form the catch basin areas in accordance with the revised sketch
a. This work will have to be done by hand in order to not undermine existing concrete and
infrastructure
3. Re -pour concrete in accordance with the revised sketch
4. Procure and install steel grates for the catch basin tops — these are not called out or specified on the
contract documents
The attached change order request #11 from Toltec Construction covers all concrete work associated with
making these modifications.
A sum of $450 is included in this change order request to procure steel grates for the catch basin tops.
This change order will contractually change the project end date, to 1/31/24. If the change order is approved
during the week of 1/8/24, this date will be accurate — this is the time needed to re -mobilize the concrete
subcontractor back to site to perform this work. If not approved during the week of 1/8/24, the project schedule
will extend by 18 calendar days from whatever date the CO is approved by COC. That new date will be the new
contractual substantial completion date.

please provide depth, JLC has requested 16" depth as this will have to be hand work to keep from undermining the concrete

Carlos I am suggesting this as the 12" diameter pipe is not a viable option with making a sealed connection to the 4" lateral
Please advise
