Mayor Hal Turville called the meeting to order at 7:40 pm with the following Council Members present: Council
Members Mullins, Goodgame, Ash and Renick. Other City officials present were: City Manager Saunders, Assistant
City Manager Gray, Administrative Services Director Van Zile and City Clerk Ackroyd.
Discuss Impact Fees Study
Henry Thomas, Vice President of Public Resources Management Group, Inc. provided an overview of the City of
Clermont Impact Fee study report. The study includes changes in impact fees for Police, Fire, Recreation, Water and
Wastewater for consideration to adopt in 60 to 90 days. Impact fees were last changed in 1998.
Mayor and Council requested additional information to be brought back for another workshop as it relates to Orange
County impact fees, an increase in land cost and police service level.
Council and Staff discussed options for pumping water out of Center Lake such as well pointing or raising the street
levels. City Manager Saunders will be meeting with City Engineer Richardson to discuss.
ity Manager Saunders requested the Council consider paying exempt employees overtime when a State of Emergency is
Glared by the Mayor. FEMA will provide reimbursement in those circumstances. Council is in agreement with the
proposal. Staff will draft a Resolution for Council to consider adoption at a regular Council meeting.
Bill Banzhaf encouraged Council to consider providing incentives for businesses to locate in Downtown Clermont.
