COUNCIL WORKSHOP
SEPTEMBER 14, 2006
• The Clermont City Council met in a regular meeting on Thursday, September 14, 2006 in the Council
Chambers at City Hall. Mayor Hal Turville called the meeting to order at 7:39 pm with the following
Council Members present: Council Members Mullins, Goodgame, and Hogan. Other City officials
present were: City Manager Saunders, Assistant City Manager Gray, Administrative Services Director
Van Zile and City Clerk Ackroyd.
Assistant City Manager Gray reviewed the Lake County future land use map and County staff's
recommendation of land use categories placed in the City's JPA. He described the new categories and
advised that several of the existing land use categories have other components.
City Manager Saunders summarized Councils remarks which are to continue with the same
recommendations Council made a year ago to eliminate the minimum densities and to allow the
workplace category in the plan however do not designate it anywhere on the map.
City Manager Saunders reviewed the proposals received for the Information Technology (IT) assessment
with plans to place on the next Council agenda for approval.
