RE: CITY OF CLERMONT FIRE STATION NO 1 ADMINISTRATION ADDITION
Dear Mr. Saunders:
C. T. Hsu + Associates, P.A. (CTH+A) is most pleased to submit this fee proposal for our professional
services for the New Fire Station 1 Administration Addition project.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We will initiate the design process by meeting with representative of the City of Clermont,
and Fire Chief to hear specific project goals and needs. We will visit and discuss with
staff the proposed program and site. We will analyze the preliminary program that was
prepared and develop a final Building Program which will include proposed square
footage requirements, spatial adjacencies, conceptual site diagrams, and a preliminary
• probable cost of construction.
11. SCOPE OF SERVICES
CTH+A proposes to provide the following professional design services for the Project:
Programming
1.1 Review preliminary list of needs provided by Clermont.
1.2 Spatial Relationships
1.3 Needs for Flexibility and Expandability
1.4. Site Requirements
1.5 Develop Building Program
2. Conceptual Site Diagrams
2.1 Site Analysis
2.2 Planning Ordinances
2.3 Functional Relationships with existing facility
2.4 Access !Circulation
3. Deliverables
3.1 Two (2) bound 8.5"x11" copies of the report documenting preliminary
design concepts for both sites.
3.2 Building Program
3.3 Preliminary probable cost

3.1 Two sets of developed building design and preliminary engineering
layouts for review by Owner.
3.2 Outline Specifications
3.3 Updated probable cost
5. Construction Documents
4.1 Permit Set of Architecture and Engineering for Building Department
4.2 Bid Set for traditional bid delivery
4.3 Final Specifications
111 TIME SCHEDULE
We understand the City's desire to proceed and we propose to produce our draft report
for your review and final comments in 3 weeks time, once we have received your final
comments we will incorporate them into our final report within one week. CTH+A will
work diligently with the City to meet the project schedule requirement. Our staff is
sufficient to meet your design schedule and our present workload would allow us to start
immediately upon notice to proceed.
IV FEE SCHEDULE
• CTH+A proposed to provide professional design services as described in our Scope of
Services for a lump sum fee of One Hundred Five Thousand Dollars (5105,000.00)
with the following payment schedule:
Programming Schematic 15%
Design Development 20%
Construction Documents 40%
Bidding/Permitting 05%
Construction Admin 20%
V REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES
Reimbursable Expenses: The costs of items such as long distance telephone, fax, Xerox
copies, presentation materials, blueprinting, postage, plotting and other project related
costs are separate from this Contract at a cost plus 10°!0. These costs will be billed at the
first of each month and are due upon receipt of invoice.
VI TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms and conditions for our services including additional services will be per the AIA
Document 6141 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect.
V11 EXCLUSIONS
• Survey, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Services and Civil Engineering are
excluded from our proposal.
