Secretary.
The Chairman explained that the meeting had been
called, after due public notice, to consider an applicat~.on
from Mr. G9illiam Dangler, Fuilding Contractor, for a variance
of the front yard requirements for three duplexes to be
located on Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, I31ock 4, Sunnyside Unit,
the same being zoned as R-1 area.
A building permit for the construction of one duplex
on the above named property had been issued by the Building
Inspector as the building application and plot plan were
in order as per the building code and zoning ordinances for
an R-1 area. however, upon the first inspection of this
job, the footings, Mr. R. J. Snyder, Building Inspector,
found that the front yard set back was only 12 feet from the
property line instead of the required 30 feet as subr;~itted
on the plot plan. A stop order was issued. immediately on
the job.
Following a short discussion, the commission adjourned
to the building site. Upon their. return, and another short
discussion, motion was made by Mr. Judy, seconded by Mr. Bishop,
and carried, that the variance in set hack be granted on
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and. 5, Block 4, Sunnyside Unit, as per revised
plot plan submitted at this meeting, signed by Mr. hTilliam Da~.er,
on condition that this plan be replaced. with a registered
surveyor's plan .
The Chairman reprimanded Mr. Dangler far not having
requested this variance prior to going ahead with the footings
and advised him that all future variances were to lie cleared
before a job vaas started.
