06-15-2004 Regular MeetingCITY OF CLERMONT MINUTES CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD JUNE 15, 2004 The regular meeting of the Code Enforcement Board was called to order on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 7:20 p.m. Members attending were Joe Janusiak, Paul Lienard, Peter Geigel and Stephen Berlinsky. Sharon Martin and Alvin Schein were absent. Also attending were Betty McMinamen, Code Enforcement Officer, Yvette Brown, City Attorney and Jane C. McAllister, Code Enforcement Clerk. The minutes from the Code Enforcement Board meeting of May 18, 2004 were approved as written. Chairman Paul Lienard gave the floor to Code Enforcement Officer Betty McMinamen. NEW BUSINESS CASE N O. 04-116 CASE NO. 04-117 Bobbie Stringfield P.O. Box 120002 Clermont, FL 34712-0002 LOCATION OF VIOLATION :420 E. Osceola Street, Clermont, FL 34711 VIOLATION: 03-116: City of Clermont Code of Ordinances No. 232-C, Chapter 34, Section 34-61, Unlawful Maintenance of Nuisances. Code Enforcement officer Betty McMinamen stated that there has been little improvement since the case began in February. Peter Geigel made a motion to find the Respondent in violation of the cited City Code seconded by Joe Janusiak. The vote was unanimous in favor of finding the Respondent in violation. Peter Geigel made a motion to allow the Respondent until July 20 2004 to comply or be fined at the rate of $200.00 per month until compliance is met. Joe Janusiak seconded the motion. VIOLATION: CASE NO. 04-130: City of Clermont Code of Ordinances No. 246-C, Chapter 14, Section 12-76(12). Unsafe Buildings Due To Partial Demolition. VIOLATION: CASE NO. 04-131: City of Clermont Code of Ordinances No. 232-C, Chapter 34, Section 34-61. Unlawful Maintenance of Nuisances. Code Enforcement Officer Betty McMinamen stated that both violations still exist, but • that the buildings are in the process of being demolished. In the matter of Case No. 04-130. Peter Geigel made a motion to find the Respondent in violation of the cited City Code; seconded by Joe Janusiak. The vote was unanimous in favor of findin_g the Respondent in violation. Peter Geigel made a motion to allow the Respondent until July 20, 2004 to comply or be fined at the rate of $200.00 per week until compliance is met; seconded by Stephen Berlinskv. The vote was unanimous in favor of the time limit and the tine. In the matter of Case No. 04-131, Peter Geigel made a motion to find the Respondent in violation of the cited City Code; seconded by Stephen Berlinskv. The vote was unanimous in favor of frnding the Respondent in violation. Peter Geigel made a motion to allow the Respondent until July 20, 2004 to comply or be fined at the rate of $200.00 per week until compliance is met; seconded by Joe Janusiak. The vote was unanimous in favor of the time limit and the fine.
