CITY OF CLERMONT vs. CLERMONT ASSEMBLY OF GOD. Mr. Saunders, after being sworn in, stated that the Assembly of God had installed a second sign on their site without obtaining a permit. An attempt had been made to secure a permit following notification, but no specifications had been submitted so a permit was not granted. When the sign was measured by the Director of Code Enforcement it was determined to be larger than the maximum area permitted by the Sign Ordinance. The City Manager suggested that the church be given until May 16 to comply. Under oath, Pastor Lester Richardson of the Assembly of God stated that he thought the sign was within proper size limits, but agreed that he hadn't measured it according to the Code. He further stated that he wanted to have a nicer sign, and had taken down a portion of the existing sign to bring it into compliance. A motion was made by Mr. McKinney, seconded by Mr. Wright and approved by unanimous vote THAT THE ASSEMBLY OF GOD BE GIVEN UNTIL 5:00 p.m. FRIDAY, MAY 16, 1986 TO OBTAIN A PROPER PERMIT FOR THE SIGN. 1 • CITY OF CLERAIONT MINUTES CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD April 15, 1986 There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m. ~' ,-, Russel Wagner, Chairman ATTEST: Marilyn G.
